A Lie of the Mind

directed by Daryl Boling

Frankie (Jeff Wills), Beth (Laura Schwenninger) and Jake (Todd D'Amour

Winner of the New York Drama Critics "Best New Play Award" in 1986, Sam Shepard’s classic American play mines the depths of love, loss and resiliency. The powerful tale ricochets between two families reeling from the repercussions of a traumatic event. At its heart, the story is a call and response between emotionally wounded lovers Jake and Beth as they seek refuge in dreams of the other. A Lie of the Mind is a riveting, darkly humorous drama about our ability to reconcile reality with illusion. This intimate production features original music by Minetta Creek, Greenwich Village's longest-running bluegrass band. It runs April 4 - 28, 2007.
