Old New Year - Actress Rebecca Karpovsky

The world premiere of “Old New Year,” a new modern theatre piece developed by the experimental theatre collective Lost & Found Project, can be experienced in Harlem in April-May. A resident company of the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF), Lost & Found Project mines the experiences of young New York-based actors and writers for new stories and perspectives. Written by Boris Zilberman, and directed by the distinguished Israeli actor and director Gera Sandler, known for roles in "Jellyfish" 2007 - Cannes film festival winner, Toronto film festival official selection, Bruchim Habayim ve... Mishtatfim Betzaarchem (2012), Avanim (2004). “Old New Year” runs for three weeks only! Continuing the company’s tradition of working with the documentary verbatim technique, Old New Year, the fifth original production by Lost & Found Project, merges personal experiences of the L&Founders: their love lives, their ethnic, personal, and sexual identities, and their struggles to be happy.
