A Girl without Wings

directed by Kathleen Amshoff

A Girl without Wings ensemble creates a living Tigua painting. Photo Isaac Danna

In this contemporary riff on an Andean myth, wicked hummingbirds dart above mountain peaks, bright threads of prayer reach for the gods, and a storm of shoes rains from the sky. A play for all ages, A Girl without Wings brings to vivid life the story of a spirit shepherd girl named Chaska, who falls for the Condor, a lonely messenger from the gods. Will she choose to leave her life to join him in the skies?
