Defacing Michael Jackson
by Aurin Squire
directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj
Set in rural, 1984 Florida, a group of African-American teenagers creates their own Michael Jackson fan club. However, when a white family moves into their neighborhood with a child intent on joining, rules of the community as a whole are challenged and changed. This comedy tests perceptions of race, growing up, and hero worship.
