The Drilling Company and Partly Cloudy People present the first New York Revival of Tigers Be Still, a heartwarming comedy by Kim Rosenstock. This production will serve as an awareness campaign and fundraiser for The Ackerman Institute for The Family. Directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh, the show will run at The Drilling Company from May 9-May 25, 2013. Tigers Be Still is a hilarious, touching and deliciously dark comedy critically acclaimed in its 2010 New York premiere. Sherry Wickman has just completed her masters in art therapy and she thinks all her dreams are about to come true. Instead, she finds herself unemployed hiding under the covers of her childhood bed most days. But when Sherry lands her first job as an art teacher in a local school, her future looks a bit sunnier. Now if only her mother would get out of bed, her sister would abandon the bottle of Jack she cradles incessantly, her first therapy patient would stop stealing, her new boss would leave his gun at home and someone would catch the prowling tiger that escaped from the local zoo, life would be great and dare she say, normal.
