Take Me Out is a Tony Award-winning, three-act play by Richard Greenberg that features an all-male cast and explores themes of homophobia, racism, class and masculinity in sport. The play's central character, Darren Lemming, is a popular, mixed-race baseball player at the peak of his career when he ultimately decides to come out as a gay man, a decision that sends his team into a tailspin of support and homophobia that ultimately ends in tragedy.
