Theatre World volume 66 has just been released through Applause Theatre & Cinema Books. Why is this noteworthy? Because for the last 66 years Theatre World has not only been one of the most respected theatrical publications, it is also the ultimate go-to source for complete, authoritative information on nearly every play of the season.

In 2009 this highly distinguished publication began to include an Off-Off-Broadway section that helped document the thousands of productions and tens of thousands of artists that work OOB each year. Having OOB represented in the premiere archive for American Theatre helps to shine a light on the important contributions that this community has made. These records are referenced everywhere by theatre scholars, students, casting directors, producers, and other industry professionals. In addition, they are included in research and reference libraries from The Library of Congress to most colleges and universities across the country.

With over 600 pages, Theatre World v66 provides an extensive list of contributors to Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, and regional theatre productions and is illustrated with over 600 photos.

It is edited by Ben Hodges, who is an Off-Off-Broadway producer and director and avid OOB enthusiast Scott Denny. And the OOB section was curated by our very own Shay Gines. "It is so exciting that OOB is so well represented in this important record," said Gines "It is such a great resource and one of the most comprehensive archives of OOB's activities."
